Bishop TD Jakes released a book called “SOAR” a few months ago. I heard about the book in passing and thought I’d see what it was about. The message of the book is how to get your vision off of the ground and soar! It’s told from an entrepreneurial perspective and as I explored it I thought maybe it wasn’t for me. I never considered myself to be particularly “business minded.” I decided not to get the book, but for some reason the Holy Spirit urged me otherwise. The Spirit within led me to by it even though my mind was speaking contrary. I felt convicted. Perhaps I was wrong about myself, and there was indeed something in the book for me. The day my book arrived in the mail Pastor called me and a few others into his office to pray for one of the other pastors that had been feeling sick. As pastor finished his prayer I heard clearly that I was to get a copy of the book for the other Pastor too. That this book would help change his life. I quickly went to order another one before Sunday. That Sunday I gave the book to the pastor and prayed within my spirit that he would read it.

My testimony is this: yesterday as I prepared for service this pastor spoke to me and told me that I had given him the best gift this year. He said that the book had blessed him and he’s even considering going through it again. He said that he continues to pray for me, and the book inspired him to start a few things that are now in the works. I have never felt such joy and such gratitude. God could have used anything to accomplish his will, but he spoke to me, and I did according to what I heard, and because of it, someone was blessed. God used me to bless somebody! If I’m being perfectly honest about what I want in this life it is that. To be used as a tool in the hand of my God to bless His people and make a permanent and positive difference that will advance the kingdom of God. It will be so in Jesus name.
