The Book of Revelation

We have finished the entire bible! We started these bible study sessions at five years ago and through sessions filled with many debates, discussions, questions, clarifications and times where the spirit of God simply took over and and didn’t allow us to read but instead to be slain in the spirit as we appreciated the presence of the Lord, after it all, we have finished the book from cover to cover. All glory be to the most high! The book of Revelation  is one that people always speak of as being scary or intimidating, and while the visions depicted here are intense, the way I see it is that the coming of the end of the age can either be very scary or very joyous depending on one factor: your readiness. Matthew 25:13 states, “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” It is reported from Jesus himself in several of the gospels that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. In this book heaven came down. It is beautiful. It is golden. It is filled with angels singing and praising God, and everywhere you look the light and glory of the Lord fills the space. On the other hand the followers of satan will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone and will be tormented forever and ever. Revelation 22 states, “14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” Which side of the gate are you on? Where do you stand? Do you know him? Are you ready to accept him? In the last days will you be rejoicing with the saints or will you be cast into the darkness? Do you qualify as one who practices lies, sexually immorality or murder? Do you denounce him with the way you live your life? Jesus is coming soon. So as you meditate on the words of this book make sure that you are ready. Eternity is a long time to spend on the wrong side of the gate.
